CCTV is widely recognized as one of the most
effective means of both deterring and detecting
crime available today.
Whilst CCTV has been typically used for security
and gathering evidence, it is now also being
utilized as a management and health and safety
tool as well.
As part of our service we offer a free of charge
system design and specification service which
will allow our surveyor to work closely with
each prospective client to produce a suitable
and effective CCTV specification.
The systems we install range from the single
camera application to multiple cameras and
multiple sites which can be monitored and
controlled from a single point.
CCTV Systems
fall into two generic categories:
Proactive systems are monitored by
CCTV
operators on site or alternatively can be
monitored off site via a RVRC (Remote Video
Receiving Centre). This utilizes a video
transmission system incorporating external
intruder detection devices and ISDN, Broadband
or Network (LAN or WAN) transmission.
The advantage that proactive systems have is
that in the event of an incident occurring (or
about to occur) the operator can intervene by
alerting other security staff, key holders or
the Police. The operator in many cases also has
the ability to issue an audible warning via a
public address system at the premises.
